How Will The Coronavirus Affect Your PCB Quote?
Please read here for latest updates.
As you're probably aware, the spread of the COVID-19 virus (coronavirus) has had a significant impact on worldwide supply chain. If you're reading this, you're likely concerned with how the virus might affect your PCB orders through CircuitHub.
Although all of our board assembly is done in Massachusetts and we generally source bare boards from the US for short lead times and low quantity, for longer lead times and/or higher quantity we do source bare boards from China.
As soon as we had a clear idea of the implications that the virus would have on our overseas partners, we moved all orders that might be affected to our board partners state-side so we could minimize delays.
Quoted Lead Times
Our Chinese board suppliers are now accepting and shipping orders. However, due to a combination of high demand and restricted resources, we have decided to temporarily extend lead times for orders going through our supplier in China to prevent a further backlog of orders from accumulating.
The quoted lead times shown on projects in the web portal factor this in — meaning that the ship date you see when you place an order is still the anticipated actual ship date.
Our domestic board partners are still operating normally. However, the strain on the electronics supply chain is now being felt globally; it is no longer limited to just China. Consequently, it is possible that orders may still ship a few days late. Please keep this in mind when placing time sensitive orders.

Moving Forward
