Introducing workspaces at CircuitHub
Introducing workspaces at CircuitHub
We're excited to introduce workspaces, a new way to collaborate and stay organized across CircuitHub. Workspaces replace the previous organizations system and make it easier to manage and share assets with colleagues, consultants, and 3rd party contractors.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is a group of CircuitHub users who can collaborate by sharing projects, parts, orders, and other assets. You can be a part of multiple workspaces and easily switch between them.
Each workspace is managed independently, meaning that you'll only see the projects and orders that belong to the workspace you're currently viewing. This helps reduce confusion, especially when importing files or placing orders.

Key changes from organizations
Previously, you would see all projects and orders from all organizations in a single view. With workspaces, assets are now scoped to the selected workspace, so it's easier to stay focused and organized.
The workspace selector at the top left of your screen allows you to switch between workspaces. When you create a new project or import a revision, it will automatically be added to the workspace you currently have selected.

Your user vs. your workspace
User and workspaces are two distinct entities.
- The top right of the navigation bar you have your user profile — your email, login, user settings, and notifications.
- The top left of the navigation bar you switch between your workspaces — controlling which projects, parts, and orders you're viewing.
New settings page
Alongside workspaces, we've also introduced a redesigned settings page. This allows you to:
- View and update your profile information
- Create new workspaces
- Explore existing workspaces
- View and add addresses, payment methods, and tax certificates linked to each workspace
All assets — including billing, shipments, issues, and orders — are now organized by workspace. This makes tracking and managing your data much more intuitive.
